Sorry, I guess I don't know how to post a video from photobucket. I think if you click on the image, you can watch the video. Here's the link:

Wow. My lights flicker at times - what you have is way more than a flicker. You are losing power to your entire panel (the gas gauge has nothing to do with the lights).

I see that the engine is not running, correct?
Does the car start?

thats not good!!
ck your battery charging system, and the cables
If any crud builds up on the batt terminals- the wires are toast inside
Parts stores do the test for free

acura sells a `Ground wire kit` with the batt neg cable and the extra ones that go from engine to ground etc in different places $23 iirc from recent post here

any electrical mods? amp?

just noticed OP is a 99,,wonder if a failing electrical part of ignition switch is causing this prob?
Normally it makes the engine shut off and back on while driving but this makes sense at idle or severe wear
look at back of switch and try to wiggle key in switch and wiggle from back- any change

99s had a recall that replaces switch back once, then on owner next 3-5 times it fails in cars lifetime
50 bucks at parts store, easy diy

The car was running when that happened. And it ran perfectly fine. It's done this only a few times at start up only. It goes away after 30 seconds to a minute. Everything else in the car works perfectly fine while this is happening. Don't know quite exactly what to do with it? I was gonna take it straight to the dealer this morning but it stopped flickering by the time I was out of my parking lot. Come to think of it, it stopped when I hit the turn signal. It's never died from this and like I said before, it doesn't last long. The ignition switch has already been replaced-about 6-8 mos ago. I have a huge stereo and it was playing with no problems while the flickering was going on too.

Ok, so originally this problem was intermittent, now it is constant. I had to download a speedometer app on my phone just to kinda gauge how fast I'm going. I took the car to the dealer one morning while it was doing this. They couldn't figure it out without spending a butt load of money for diag time. The car runs perfectly fine while this is happening but it's not recording mileage, I have no clue how much gas I have, and I have no tach or speedo. I work at a Ford dealership and my techs are trying to figure it out also. Has this happened to anyone else? Mods, if neccesary, please move to problems and fixes.

Oh yeah, I've already had the printed circuit board replaced for another non-related issue.

Seems to me your alternator is going out. Once your battery is drained, your car will get shutdown.

If alternator is good, then just like 01tl4tl said, you are losing power source such as loose cable or ground cable somewhere.

All the grounds have been checked. My techs here even loosened all of them and re-tightened them just to make sure.

Did you check the ignition switch? I have had a similar problem on a ford with a worn ignition switch (HVAC and windows didnt work). Turned out to be the contacts inside the ignition switch wore out. Its a known problem on the 99's that the switch wears out and all sorts of weird electrical problems occur. you might get it replaced for free at the dealer.

The ignition switch is only about a year old or so. The car doesn't shut off while driving or have problems starting. Plus it used to do this before I had the switch replaced.

So today I finally got around to removing the instrument cluster to check the connections. I unplugged it, blew in it (like an old school Nintendo game) and plugged it back in. Everything is working fine (right now)! Very strange. Nothing was pinched or anything but that seemed to do the trick. Hopefully this fixes the problem. I'll keep you guys posted. Luckily for me I've had the dash apart before so it was only a 5-10 min job.

Did anyone mention the alternator? Also check all your grounds, one messed up ground can cause some real funky current problems.
