Talking First Time Care ?'s

Just Purchased my first TL! Had some quick questions.

What do drivers use for:

Cleaning outside of car

Wax for outside of car

Leather inside of car

Inside trim of car

I figure there are many threads for these questions...not sure how to get there.

thanks for your help!

There's a section in the Off-Topic communities call Wash & Wax. You can private message exceldetail (a vendor) for questions; I'm sure he'll be glad to help you out. Yesterday when I was washing the car, I was using Meguiar Gold Class Shampooo & Conditioner and Black Magic Liquid Wax. Work out pretty good.

Agree with Supa
Go to the top of the page here and click Off Topic- then scroll down to Wash & Wax

There will be info for best over the counter and best high dollar, easiest to use, longest lasting, best shine for time and more. Make sure to read about Claybar- that restores clean to your car so you apply wax to paint/clearcoat- not apply wax to old grunge- makes the surface smoooooth !
I like Turtle Wax ICE Synthetic liquid for ease of use- its been a month and several washings- ready for another coat but the metal-flake really pops now!!

you can also check out www.fullydetailed.com for step by step instructions.
It really depends on your comfort level with certain products. You can get great results with over the counter products.

I use Klasse AIO and polish. THe synthetic formula holds well particularly to the elements. Definitely an advantage over carnuba wax when parking your car outdoors for extended periods. If you want to enhance the shine, you can also put on a few coats of p21 carnuba wax over the Klasse.
