Smile Finally did it... (updated... dealer trying to screw me!)

Well, we finally did it. Put the deposit down on our 2003 TL-S with Navi (Silver/Ebony) Manufacture date of 4/15-4/19 with an expected delivery at the end of the month. We got an unbelievable deal. Now we are hoping that we get a good rate on the financing My wife has better credit so hopefully they will use her score

I'll be sure to share the experience here. FYI, the dealer is Acura of Dayton, OH. I dealt with their internet manager, Alisha, and it was all done via email and phone. Very professional, and nice to deal with. Now I just can't wait till it arrives!

We had to put down $1,000 deposit to hold the car for us. We got it for $30,500, which is the best deal I've seen. I got quotes form all the dealers near here, and I showed them the lowest one I got ($32,200). I was very surprised when they came back with the price they offered. Needless to say it didn't take much thought to decide.

well that price u got is really good... just beware... what exactly is the "out the door price"... i was quoted 31,200 for my '03 TL-s Navi... then all the sudden the price was raised to 31,800... i still think i got a good deal on the car though.... i dont think u will have to wait long for that car since its silver and ebony..i waited 2 weeks for my Aegean Blue...but nonetheless good luck and congradulations

Zesta, how is it possible to get a TL-S with Navi for $30,500 when the invoice is around $31,010.

I just bought mine last week and I had to go about $1000 over invoice to get the car.

thanks for the details! I was at the dealership today and they havent given me a price yet. They had to find one first. I want the Anthracite w/ black interior w/ navi . and the locate list was pretty short, so i dont know how long it will take them to find one for me.

i have a feeling that it wont be as good as the price you paid. i'll see what happens.....

DHB: do you mind saying how much you paid for yours in Atlanta??

other thoughts: should i plan on paying more by ordering a car that is not ont he lot? how much more?

I have no idea how they were able to give me that price, but I'm not complaining. Out the door it is $32,555 (Tax, title, tags, and $50 document fee).

I'm holding the customer order and invoice form right here, so there's nothing extra. Chalk it up to good luck I guess Maybe they are hoping for a repeat customer, which they might just get!

Oh, and please don't go to Acura of Dayton and demand you get this price "cuz Randy said so", or they might get pissed and mess up my car

I could only got 500.00 off of MSRP. Since I was getting one of the 1st 03's to be delivered in the area I knew I couldn't get much off but I was ok with the deal. Drive off was about 32400.00 I was able to get the dealer to sell me the OEM body kit and the wood shift knob for 1200.00 installed. I was going to order it from this site but I read all of the previous problems others had with the color matching of the OEM kit when installed on DWP. I asked the Service Manager about that and he confirmed that there was a DWP paint issue that contributed to this mismatch on earlier models but assured me it had been fixed for the 03 and subsequent models. He also agreed to install a single piece for me and if I didn't like the color he would remove it and reinstall the original piece. Based on that I bought it from them. The DWP color seems to match perfectly and that OEM body kit makes a HUGE difference in spicing up the appearance. I highly recommend it!

Thanks DHB. Where in Atlanta did you buy it? Would it be worth my time to shop in Atlanta as well as Athens?

Thanks... but in case you guys haven't seen my other post, the deal fell through. I am currently working with another dealer, and will hopefully still have the car in the next month! I want one fresh off the truck, so the dealer is searching for me

thanks,

Did I get a good deal on my Acura?

Hey Guys. I recently bought a 02 TL Type S in February. So far I love the Car with exception to the stupid parking brake on the floor and having no key opening on the back of the trunk.

I negotiated down to 30,100 and then add on tax and crap like that. So my question is did I get a good deal. I Hope I did.

By the way, What is the deal with the Transmission issue?
