Thumbs up Finally!!

I took my '99 TL in for service this morning, thinking I would be getting the integra for a loaner. I filled out the paperwork for the loaner not paying attention to it as usual. My service manager hands me the keys and points to a 2002 TLS. Naturally I took the long way to work.

The dealership in Orlando was Don Mealey for you Orlando folks.

If I were you, don't go back to the dealer, just keep the loaner FOREVER..

I think they give loaners to people who are older of age...It really depends on how much power you make them think that you have...I of course got nothing as a loaner from Don Mealy when I was in Orlando all summer...I took my car in for the AC problem that I was having and they would not provide one for me, hint hint, my age...I really didnt care, but it would have been nicer to have a car that I could dog for the two days that they took to replace the condenser...Shyne

You are one lucky guy.
BTW, just keep making up new problems about your car so you can keep the TL-S loaner for longer.

The TLS is so much smoother, especially with the transmission. I noticed a lot of refinement in the car. When I turned the car in last night I asked about the loaners. Don Mealy bought 2002 TL's for their loaners. He said that if the they want to be considered a luxury (entry level) market then they need to stop handing out integra's when somebody owns an RL.

perpetrator of Metroes

Weir Canyon Acura seems friendly enough, they told me over the phone that they'd give me an Integra loaner vehicle. So I go over, to get my monthly squeak-fix treatment done. You know, the kind where you point out all the noises your TL makes that it's not supposed to make and the technicians become "yes"men all nodding their heads in communal agreement and saying "YES! we can fix that!" When I arrive at the dealership, they tell me they goofed and gave someone else the loaner vehicle (they should probably stock up on more, IMHO), so they will get Enterprise Rent A Car to give me something in its place. This Enterprise rep shows up at the dealership in a clean Volvo S80, and I respond "Hey that's pretty nice for a rental car." He chuckles and says, "Ummh. Sir, this is only the transport vehicle. Your Geo Metro is waiting for you at the car lot. Let me take you there." I was not very pleased.

Oh yeah, those mechanics couldn't correct the squeak noises either. They made up some excuse about it coming from my spoiler. The rattle/squeak is coming from the frame surrounding my rear windshield though, I'm sure of it.
