The Final Mod

This is it my friends... the final mod to my TL. *sniff* StreetEffectz has my visors and we're working out an awesome install for the PS2 I bought yesterday! I hope to have it all in by HIN - August 3rd.

Hey... you can't say the "F" word in here. You honestly think you are done, Nate? Come on... you know you will end up doing something else. A few months from now you will see something new and GOT TO HAVE IT. It's always like that. Stereo or something. New lights. Sounds like you have a nice ride, and very dedicated to your TL. I just wish I could make it to the Seattle Meet, d*mnit ! I want pictures.

Hehe... really man, I have to save my cash for other things now. Gotta move out!

SC kit is $5k... plus figure in the price of a new tranny...

Ok, ok... so I might do a *couple* small things... once the SC comes out and Comptech releases their cold air box, I might go for that. And maybe TL-S gauges to match the indiglos. I've always wanted Inspire auto folding side mirrors. A rearview camera would be nice...

Doh!

Yep, Nighthawk has them (not installed though, they are complicated I guess). Parking is a b!tch in Japan aparently. I forget the exact amount but I think it was $380 for both side mirrors. And you have to figure out how to hook it up yourself. I believe Nighthawk said you reverse the polarity to retract them. I want to wire it into my alarm... just picture this...

Get out of the car, windows down, sunroof open. Arm alarm. Windows close, sunroof closes, mirrors fold in.

Walking to car, disarm alarm. Windows roll down, engine starts, mirrors fold out.

Damn that would be sick!

Oh, not sure if they'd fit an 02. =/ The were out for 99-01s for sure. Though they have an 02 Honda Inspire so I'm pretty sure they'd have the folding mirrors for you. You'll need to talk to Mike (value tl) and see if he can't hook it up for you. You can find him here: valuetl@yahoo.com

FYI, the auto folding mirror's eliminate the heated mirror option, so you will no longer be heated...although I'm sure there's a way to wire that in with some thought..

Dude, you dont really have to move out now do ya? Just get a fridge in the trunk, a george forman grill with a cigarette adapter, and your set. Just throw your cloths in your trunk and sleep on your back seat!

City001, you will need aftermarket alarm system to do this with
window rollup modules, etc. Clifford, or Alpine should be able to do this.
