F*CK!!! My car got keyed............
Title says it all. After having the car for 8 mos. without any dents i noticed a huge keyed mark on the back right side of my car and it scratches all the way into the metal. Anyone know how much it will cost to repair? Anyone know a good shop in Houston? Any help would be appreciated!!

if the scratch gone through paint....most likely u need to repaint the whole door...to get it back to original..and that'll cost over 100-200 bux for sure...
or..u can get touch up paint..but ppl will see it when close up....and it just won't be the same...but it'll be a lot cheaper

No way! I make sure I don't piss anyone off! Never had anyone key my car (knocking on wood).

I guess Im got more lucky then you guys. While at Home Depot parking lot, some stupid dude must have been blind and scratched back of the trunk with like a 2x4 or something. Likily, it wasn't deep so it took me like 2 hours with my friends buffer to make 'go away'. People are ******* nowdays.... just my .02

someone keyed the my trunk lid about 2 inches above the top of the bumper from one tail light to the other....luckily my emblems were tarnished (I have no idea why) and when they replaced them they gouged my trunk lid. So they replaced the whole thing! And *presto* the scratch is gone!
But some jerk-ass keyed my LH sideview mirror (the actual mirror).

That sucks about your car. Man, if I ever caught anybody doing that I would absolutely kick the sh*t out of the person, even if it were not my car. I swear to god. There is absolutely no sense in doing it.

yikes.. this is exactly the thing I'm afraid of, taking my car to school with me. Plus my brand new baby has to sit outside everyday (no garaging for the duration of the school year).
maybe i'll trade it in and get a Geo...

I know this is off topic, but I think an egg attack is worse that
a keying. Happened to me a few weeks ago. Noticed someone
had egged my left front door. And or course, it dried. Washing
it off was a headache, but not only that, killed my paint. Now I have to go get a new paint job as the dried egg chipped some paint off. Problem is, I can't find the time with work and family.

Argh~!
I think TLBaller was talking to me, my name is PATRICK too.
Thanks for the replies back guys, well I kind of got someone paying for my car. Im actually in training in downtown and my building they valet your car, well what I did was blame that building and they offered to pay for it. I actually got 3 estimates today ranging from $275-$600. Need to find another shop that will charge around $600 so I can get more money for it =]
Matt: I think it might have happened at hyperia, but then again it might have happened at my work too.
TLBaller: sorry i dont know your name, i might have saw you in downtown the other day, but yea I am still entering the show. actually getting my springs installed tomorrow and putting the rims on. I was actually going to do a stereo system, but I dont think thats going to happen.
