F**K Dealer (Stealer) venting
I'm just pissed off.
On Saturday I checked my K&N drop in filter with over 40K miles on it. I notice my filter was green. The dealer replace my K&N with stock filter. at this point I was pissed off. The dumb ass mechanic don't know how to read the sticker on top of the box. I called them (Sierra Acura in Alhambra) and it took them over an hour to find my records (dumb ass service technician) finally called me back. They told me I was charge for filter replacement but didn't replace it (it doesn't make sense). Where is my filter then?.... the guy told me i will receive a check in the mail for $20 the cost of honda filter. and I said that is not right. I was charge for a service I didn't request or needed.
I just called the service manager regarding this problem. still waiting on calling me back.
Please everyone who installed the replacement filter with K&N check your vehicle when living the dealer.
Please give me you opinion.

as for the filter tell them 20 isnt enough, and that they are going to give you the money for the K&N too!
i brought my 99 civic si in ONCE to get the oil changed in the winter (too cold out and leaving for out of town) well when it came time to pay they had thrown the price of a air filter on too (20 some dollars) and i said i didnt authorize that and they argued with me over that. then i finally whipped out the BIG questiong to them, HOW DID YOU REPLACE THE FILTER WITH OUT TAKING THE FRONT BUMPER OFF ???? I HAVE A CAI ON IT! he had the balls to argue with me saying i didnt, at which point i draged him out to the bay by the arm and showed him the bright red AEM CAI. needless to say he got fired right infront of me by the owner and i got a years worth of oil changes for free (which i sold to my neighbor)
im the only one allowed to work on my car, ill let the dealer diagnose if i have to but i do all teh work!

damn, sounds like you guys are having it rough with your dealerships. While I haven't been to Park Ave in awhile, my local dealership up at school is amazing. They are so considerate and focused on customer satisfaction. Go John Holtz Acura.

U would think that with 2-3 stickers on top of the air filter box saying "DO NOT REMOVE AIR FILTER" people would notice it. I went to get an oil change and the guy started to unscrew my box and i asked him "what are u doing" and he said he's checking my air filter. i had to POINT to the sticker for him and then he said "oh". DUH!!!

the place is pretty good... low prices and fast shipping.
if you go retail stores it runs for about $53 + tax.
