Extended Warranty Scam??
hey guys, i got an 02 TL-S with close to 89,000 already, Im getting stuff in the mail from different warranty companies but i dont know if its a scam or not, i mean a Expanded Warranty covering everything for 190.00 a year? sounds kinda cheap. The name of this place is "Warranty Acceptance Corporation" based out of Mobile, Alabama. I did some research but i got a bounce of unhappy documented people. ANyone has any suggestions or advice?
Whoever you got the car from probaly sold your information to all these warrenty places. I have had my TL for 3 years now, and I got it used, I still get a warrenty card in the mail every other week or so. I have yet to do it......and don't plan on doing it

I dealt with a company called ACSC , it was out of Alabama as well, not sure it was the same company, It was 36k 3 year warranty. the cost was $1600 but you only had to put $250 and make monthy payments, after 30 day you could use the warranty w/ only a $100 deductible. After a monthy the timing belt went on my 01 Passat. which took the entire motor. They covered it but decided to find there own motor to try and cut the cost. So, for about $400 , they sent about $2500 for the motor and $3600 for the install. Worked out for me. I cancelled the waranty when I bought my 03 TLP a month ago. So, in all I paid about $700
i have about 800miles left on a Continental Warranty and they did some a/c repair, an O2 sensor and an HID inverter + bulb ($380btw)... they are a paint in the **** to get money from + dealer spent three days trying to get a hold of someone for the O2 sensor repair. i still paid more for the coverage but it is worth the peace of mind and the $1500 i saved on acura's extended.
