so i just replaced my oil pan this past weekend and to do so i had to unbolt the down pipe from the headers. well all is good except i have a check engine light on and a exhaust leak out of both flange attachments should i just get new gaskets? if not what else would solve the problem to also make the check engine light go off

 

Yes, new gaskets maybhelp. Unless you cracked it downstream

 

which one exactly because the flange from the down pipe looks like part no. 31645 but on there diagram it says to use part no. 31377.... im so confused

 

What's diagram are you using? Those aren't typical Honda/Acura part numbers

 

Walker. they have a diagram for products they sell is a 1999-2003 acura tl exhaust diagram.

 

my experience with those gaskets is to use OEM which are fairly inexpensive. The aftermarket ones don't seem to fit right.

 

"ditto" after resealing my oil pan, i used aftermarket gaskets for the header pipe and the left side would not seal properly. after installing OEM gaskets, all was good.

 

so im guessing i would have to order the gaskets from Acura??

New gaskets OR reuse the old one and use some copper gasket spray. I used copper spray on all of my aftermarket piping for my G and it sealed up perfectly.
