Exceptable mileage on new car

hey guys, got a question. what is acceptable mileage on a new car when you get it. reason being, went out to test drive new v6 accords with my sister. i couldn't believe that they let you pick any car you want to drive. i remember when there were only a few cars on the lot that you can test drive.

so anyways.. what is acceptable and how much money can you knock of the price of the car with 50 miles? 100 miles?

thanks

alot ov dealers still have the "test" drive only cars. if you are a serious buyer then they let you take out the one you want to purchase

Must be under 10miles. If not, it is not a "new" car you buying.

You can't knock off much. I think here in MN, a car must have under 300 miles to be considered new. Something like that. If the car has some signs of wear and tear exterior wise, you may be able to shave a few hundred off.

Keep us posted.

I agree. I think I had a few. He said it's cause they had to get it to the dealership. My concern is "how" did they get it there. Was it like Ferris Bueller ?

What's funny is when you run into these cars that were used as demos with over 10k on them and the dealer wants to sell it as new because it was never titled.

What moron actually says okay to that? I remember the Lincoln dealer in Princeton tried to do that to my dad in the early 90s.

$23.5 for the Accord EX V6. I assume that's without NAV. I think that is about the going rate for the 2003. I believe it was right under $26K for EX with NAV about 7 months ago.

I have the same experience with Turnersville Honda. I asked to drive the 2 door coupe. No problem, copied my DL and gave me the key and just come look for him when I am done. 20 minutes later, I got back and asked for the 4 door. Again.. no problem. This was also on a Saturday.

If you already spoke to the Internet Sales department, the price is pretty much fixed. You can try to get free accessories but not if the car has 100 miles on it.

Which car are you referring to when you say "car for invoice"? TL or TLS. They are below invoice right now.

Can you get me a 03 MDX touring for invoice?
