I have a stupid question

What goes into the power socket on the TL?
I tried my old speeding detector from my old car, it goes in, but no power ???
Need a little help....

check the fuse!

or plug something else in the lighter to make sure it works? or make sure the unit is making contact in the lighter receptacle, some have a plastic sleeve to make them fit flush, so contact is there.

Follow up story:
I need a new speeding detector now...
It was working before I pull it from my Subaru..NOOOOOOOoooo

Remember, the 12V DC power sockets below the radio and inside the center console do NOT work when the ignition is off. Make sure your car is running before testing any device in the socket.
