Engine Swap

Any know if a tl-s engine will fit into a 2002 honda accord. I was just wondering because if it can that would be a nice car.

I would think it would be possible to do so into a 2002 Accord V6, but why not just spend the extra $$$ and get a TL-S or better yet get a CL-S 6 speed

It's been done by Honda. I forgot which sport compact car, but about 1 and 1/2 years ago Honda made an accord with the CL-S engine and tranny. I think it was a blueish purple and had a carbor fiber rear lip spoiler. Was one phat car but Honda wouldn't reveal "exactly" what they did.

Your thinking of the AC-R. Accord Coupe Type R. Yea it was a few years back tested by either Sports Car Compact I think or Import Tuner. It had recardo seats and everything. Smooth looking car...very nice. It was before the CL-S came out.

Someone a while back on (later posted pics on acl.com) had a Type-S engine in a First Gen CL. If that can be done then it should be OK in an Accord too since the 1st Gen CL and the Accord are so similar.....

BTW... here's some info about the guy who did it on the CL board. This isn't the actual swap topic... just a topic like this one. Looks like it ran around $10k to do..... not worth it in my book, even with the turbo. I'd just buy a Type-S!!

This one just confirms a swap from HIN:
