The type of oil has nothing to do with your engine clicking. You most likely need your valves adjusted. Is the car around 100K miles? (Don't know the conversion to kilometers off hand) If it is, you're probably due for the 105K mile service which includes the timing belt, water pump, valve adjustment, spark plugs, etc. Once again, the fact that your oil is synthetic has nothing to do with the engine clicking.
