I got egged, some jealous drive by hit the car right above the driver door handle. Besides being a pain to get off the mess, the egg impact seems to have fractured the paint.

Its like a bunch of concentric, circular hairline white lines about 2 inches wide (egg wide).
Of course its by the driver's handle, so I see it al the time.

Any suggestions on how to fix?

 

You always want to go lightest to heaviest polish. Try your everyday polish, Zaino, Meguiars.... If that doesn't do it, get some 3M Perfect It polishing compund. One of those should do the trick.

I got egged too. Damage was more severe though. Have to go get it repainted (egg dried over night, and when I tried to wash it off, paint chipped off). I'm only out $100 for insurance deductible and the insurance co will pick up the balance of $250. I wish I could egg the fart that did it! I will be bringing my car in next week to get it painted.

 

I dont know if that will polish out or not. What you are describing is what I had on one of my old cars. As you know the egg literally eats away at the paint. It may need to be resprayed. That sucks.

 

I had that happen to my old car and it damaged the paint to a point where no polish will work. Only fix is a repaint. Sorry to hear that man. It sucks.

You can't get egg chips out. You have to get it repainted...I know...

 

And I was pissed when my windshield got egged last New Year's.....thank God they didn't hit my paint. I was thinking about egging the house that had the party that the kids who egged my car went to.....but I'm a firm believer in karma, so I'll let the universe balance itself out.
