ecu replacement after new tranny?

I replace my tranny w/o the acura dealership, so I had it done in my shop. I have the 99tlp, and should I also change the ECU? I've been driving for a while with the new tranny, seems doesn't have the same juice as it did once, would a new ecu help, it cost 700hundred dollars though!
HELP!
thanks!
