EBC Green Or Hawk HPS

Time for new brake pads. The Choices are EBC Greenstuff or Hawk HPS pads. People with EBC Greens, how do you like them? Both are very good pads I've heard, but i dont know which ones to get. Any Suggestions?

thanx

I just ordered the Hawk HPS pads. Once i get them installed... i'll let you know. One thing though, i hope someone can clear this up... the guy at the import shop mentioned that ebc is going bankrupt? or something like that .. so he said he couldnt' get them. Is that true of is this guy bs ing me? sorry to go off topic.

not sure about ebc. i hope not. they are the best pad out there. hawks are real aggressive and dont last long and wear the rotors fast, but have good bite

How are the initial grab of the two pads. I like very responsive initial grab. The stock pads just doesn't seem to bite hard at all.

Can't comment on the performance of Hawk pads, but those and EBCs were my two choices as well. From what I was told, Hawk has quite a large variety of pads for different purposes, so you should just make sure you get the right kind of pad for your kind of driving. I've only had the EBCs for a month, so I can't tell ya too much for the longterm except I've been happy so far. ...Much more brake dust than OEM though - but prob not as much as with other aftermarket pads (according to some reviews here).

I have the Hawks Plus right now...So far I put around 10,xxx on them...and they are still biting hard. Upgraded Supra TT's are using these...EBC do bite...but not as hard. (that is what I heard) EBC are easier on ur rotors...but they are both good. =) If I were going to get new pads...I would get Hawks again.

both are great pads. i dont know how to compare pad life between the 2 because i had the hawks on a 99 civic Si. they only lasted about 40k. the ebc i had on my tl i got upwards of 60k and i had auto x time on them. the ebd produced less brake dust. either way i think you will be happy, both are far superrior to the crappy axxis pads

I have had both on mine. EBC Greens seem to have a lot less brake dust and they work great. Still using these....
