eBay Blank JDM Grills

Anybody order one of these for their TL? I tried doing the basket mesh mod today, and nearly destroyed my grill and one of the stems on the "A" emblem got ripped off when I was taking the mesh off .

Here's what I'm thinking of ordering.

Either:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/JDM-Acura-3-...ht_3109wt_1163

Or: http://www.ebay.com/itm/JDM-Acura-3-...ht_3224wt_1163

They're blanks, which I like, and they come primed in black, which I'd most likely just add a couple layers of black paint over that, some clear coat, and then slap a new "A" emblem on and be done with it.

Comments welcome, thanks for any input!

Well, I'm just calling them that as per the eBay posting haha. I am fully aware of the UA4, UA5 grills available, I just don't want any of those. So just lets just replace JDM with "JDM" mentally :P.

Man ebay calls anything and everything JDM these days. I should sell my shit on ebay and label it JDM when I have sushi the day before.

Its a perfectly fine idea. I had one of those mesh grilles for my 03 at one point. It looked good.

Mine should be here in a few weeks. Shipped from China on a slow boat.

I sold my Mugen grill several years ago and always missed it.

I ordered the one without the center post.

Well as I said in my first post. I tried, and did an epic fail, which almost led to breaking my stock grill. Which is why I'm looking for some now.

well your going to need the back piece of the stock one...use the raised part where the A goes to mold your gutter guard(home depot)...cut, fit...then put it back together with the gutter guard sandwiched inbetween the chrome piece and the back piece...leave it like that for a day or so and let it settle...then you just cut and mod the back piece accordingly to fit it...

i think...i think i might have done a diy on here...could try finding it in search

btw the reason why you want to mold the gutter guard with the back piece is to have it raise up and fill the empty space...alot of people on here just put it in and its flat as hell...just like the mugen grille...thats why i never bought one...and i hate the fact that it comes to a point in the front...
