Is it easy to fix a tear in the driver's seat?

I'm looking at a TL tonight. Seller says it has about a 2 inch tear in the leather seat. The exterior color is red, not sure what the interior is, probably beige but I'm not sure.

Do those little kits work? On a driver's seat with alot of in/out?

thx!

back at the dealership there was a lady who would come and touch up the interiors. she did a great job. so it can be done. also had a tear repaired in a leather jacket at the dry cleaners, maybe ask them, since i'm sure the dealer will try to make a buck off you.

oooh i just youtube'd this. looks like a pain in the ass. methods vary but all repairs involve painting the area around the tear/scratch/hole.
