I installed my DVD player in the trunk and I cannot operate it using a remote from the inside of the car. Its only works when I open that small passage to the trunk in the rear
seat.
Can someone tell me is there something I can buy or do to make it work?

I think you need a wired infrared remote eye. A wire with a remote eye that will sit inside the car. Dunno if your dvd player supports that.
