Duster?
Anyone know where I can get dusters? I need one for my car, at the shows it gets dusty on the exterior from just sitting. Also I'd like a new one for the inside. The one I keep in the door pocket for brushing off my dash has an exposed metal tip on it - if I'm not careful it can leave fat ass scratches!
And ideas?

Walmart has them. I got a purple one to match my Meguire stuff, and Absorber. I keep a small one in the car, too. If you have Fred Meyer up there, you can try it, also.

The best thing I've ever used on the interior to remove dust are those disposable "Swiffer" towels made for removing dust in the house.
There's a couple brands available; They build up so much static while wiping the dust jumps to them. They will NOT scratch and contain no additives/oils.

By the way, the Swiffer is not absorbent at all. Don't get it wet or it'll just push the water around without lifting it and you'll have a wet mess on your dash.

yup! but it works great!
nate, i use it every time i come back from even doing a quick errand . you get that sooty film on your car, mines white, real noticeable. and i noticed how other towels judt pushed the dust around. the ca duster has a parrafin wax coating which is great for the exterior! just go over the car ever so lightly so not to leave any wax residue on the car's exterior. every few strokes whack it against a wall or your hand to get the excess off. it gets better over time! i prefer the swiffers and a compressed air gun for the interior! ac vents , shift grate , etc. kamn :-)

Wow I didn't think they could make anything uglier than that! I think I'll go for the Swiffers swipes or whatever they are. Those at Target too?
Anyone use the CA water blade? Better than the Absorber?

Edit: I see in the "how do your dry your car" thread a few people use the waterblade, except one guy said it scratched his car!

I've been using the California Duster for the exterior, but went to Wal-Mart and bought a California Dash Duster yesterday because of this forum. I used it for the first time today. I like it. Also, I bought a little brush from Kiwi that is for the vents and hard to reach places. Both work well . And not very expensive at all!

Before using the duster, wrapping it in a few pieces of newspaper to soak up the wet wax residue for 4-5 days works alot better then just leaving it out to air dry. I too have found the water blade sctratching my car. Only use clean 100% cotton towels to dry and very softly at that. Another trick is after washing the car, let the hose (without the sprayer) gently cascade water over the car surfaces. This will allow the water to sheet off rather than from tiny droplets leaving less water to dry up. Just before drying, I also drive the car back and forth about 20' or so to help roll the water off and get the water out of the lug holes in the wheels.
