Yes to the first part, No to the second part. There are plenty of good products. The top two seem to be Klasse and Zaino. I use Klasse but, from what I've read, you won't go wrong with either product.

That's the worst stuff you can put on your car. Don't get it.

Absolutely agree. Do not use it.

Zaino, Klasse, Blitz, Meguiars all very good.

I actually tried out Durashine a few years back on an old car. Yes, it doesnt bead, but water doesnt sleet off as advertised. It just stays there in huge sheets. It leaves the car dull after a couple of days. Like someone stripped the wax off look, dull. I tried it once and threw the crap out, and rewaxed the car with proven name brand wax. Forget Durawash too! They're all DURACR@P!!

My neighbor’s 4x4 has it on and tried it out. It sure didn't work too well -- he dumped it after a few months. He loves trying stuff, but when I ask him about it, he just shook his head and said its crap.

(He doesn't use Zaino, but he sure loves different waxes...)

Used to be a big wax fan, until I tried Zaino....gave all my wax away.

I currently use (and am delighted with) Zaino, and up till now have been recommending Zaino or Klasse.

But, I placed my order today...

well i used durashine before. does it work? yes and no. on the side of the car it works really well. you wash your car and the water does go way in mins and no spot at all.

but the hoode, truck, and the top is not as good. the water got stuck there as a film of "water", and they don't really go away fast... usually ended up with some spot.....

and btw, don't expect your car to dry cleanly under the sun with durashine, it NEVER works.
