Dual Stage Shock Sensor

I am about to install my Gargoyle Dual Stage Shock Sensor and want better instructions than from NOVA. I don't think his gives him a warning when you slightly bump it. It works more like a single stage shock sensor. Also I want to be able to open and close my trunk without the alarm going off

Any tips would help.....

I think NOVA instrustions were pretty good. Doesn't matter if u have a single or dual stage sensor..it will on by a single stage when you connect it to your car.

Some ppl have the alarm go off when they close the trunk...i never had that happen to me. You just have to adjust and readjust the sensitivty until you get it just right.

I park in a University Parking Structure...you got these fixed up cars with exhuast all over the place...these things will set your alarm off easily. The alarm will go for 2 min *if i rememebr correctly, or it was 4 min?* before they turn off.

I got a crime stopper dual stage shock sensor and I dont feel like it is sensitive enough. I have to really bang on the car.(Does anyone have this kind of sensor) I put the sensor in the middle of all the wires. Should I hook up more than one sensor. 1 in the front and the other in the rear... Or if something hits me from the back will it trigger the front sensor.

Actually NOVA where good but a bit confusing at one point and Mr TL's where good but a bit confusing at one point but if you put them together its a lot easier. \

The easiest way to find the yellow wire is when you get under the dash and ur looking toward the door u will see a grey box with 8 harness on the front of that box (front of car) there is a harness its the only 1. Pull that out to make it easier to work with. Remove the black tap and you should see a yellow wire with silver dots.. Dont get confused cause there is a yellow wire with a thin orange line and silver dots going through it. Easy to mistake if the orange line is opposite of u. From there follow the directions..

Do a search for dual stage shock sensors and partial name NOVA. Check out his website..

If you have anymore ? let me know...

Where are you mounting the shock sensor too? The wire harness? Pick a place that won't absorb the shock or vibration. I mount it on the plastic fuse panel....so it's right next to the door. I used double sided tape...i don't konw if velcro will absorb some of the shock or not. My sensor is sensitive enough that i set it under 50%. The 50% is to reduce false alarms... Could easily put 100% and it will go off all the time. IF that doesn't work...wire it into ur door...that will definitatly work!

Once you put ur head in the foot well and start to look around...just try to find the wire harness that looks exactly what the picture looks like. It will take you a min. or 2.. There are a lot of wires down there.
