Drove the new 6-speed

well as i was waiting for the dealer to replace my outside temperature sensor, i got a chance to test drive the new 6-speed, and damn it's fast, pros are fast off the line, 2nd gear rubber, and nice third and fourth, cons are , suspension is to soft for the stick feel, and tends to drift when in a first or second gear burnout!!
man i tell you i really got on this thing, and i was a little worried because of all this talk about the weak trans systems that acura puts in the tl and cl's!!

but i had a great time!!
p.s. this vehicle does not have VSA or TCS so wheels are free to spin!

Yeah, nice i'm sure with people like you test driving these things that some CLS owners will have tranny problems. The car isnt even broken in yet and you are burning rubber and tearing through gears. I know its not all onj you, the dealer are to blame as well. But, c'mon man. Think about the person buying that car. You'd be pissed if it were you.

When my friend last year went to go test drive a Integra R the dealer guy said go ahead and push it to it limit. they ragged the helll out of it. When i got my TL and it was the 1st time i was testdrivng and i put it in SS shift and didnt know the engine was revving towards redline and then the dealer was like shift up. The car only had 10 miles on it. I didnt buy it i told him to give me the one in the show room. And the other thing i didnt know was the one I drove was the flat white and the one I got is WDP....

hehehehe ...one car was "hurt" in the process of getting the 411 on the new Six-Speed. If anything, it was a good thing but Bigman, yeah*~it must suck for the person that takes home the CL-S that he test drove. :p

I did the same thing when I went for a test drive. I left it in SS mode and nearly redlined before I noticed. To top it off this car was someone elses that had just got prepped.

I think some dealers move the test driver cars to loaners afterwards. I could be mistaken.

I ragged the crap out of a TL I test drove. Doing about 80 down the highway, slamming on the accelerator...and when I initially left the dealership it was in SS mode, but I had no clue what that was and I drove a few miles on the highway like that wondering why this car felt so sluggish! I finally figured it out.

Anyways, the TL was my first new car purchase so I had it ordered! This way, no one but ME will have driven this baby.(Except for the person that loads/unloads the thing, but you get my drift).

oh come on guys... are you guys saying that you never really get a feel of the TL (the VETC, the double wishbone suspension, responsivness of the SS) before you buy it? BULL $HIT!!!

So what about those car you test drove...

Dealers offer a demo and will sell the car as used sooner or later, as they use it as a demo for lone enough or as a loaner in some cases...

So, as a car buyer you must be smart enough to make sure that your car had not been beaten...

my car had only like 9km on the odometer and all the plastic on the steering wheel were there still...

But that doesn't mean no test drive was taken thought... it could be... a short ride, but I am sure the dealer would rather let the buyer take another car out...
