Dropping Costs?
I'm wondering if the MDX is stealing sales away from the TL. It seems that the dealing started after the MDX arrived on the scene. Acura probably wants to make sure that the TL stays the class leader over the ES300.
I must buy a car in March (lease ending). My dealer is playing dumb about the 2002. He didn't seem to think he would have them in March. I think he could have been snowballing me to get me to drive off with one of the 2001s that are filling his lot.

In August of '99 when I got my TL (lease), I had waited for four months. There was not even a dealer demo. Well, since I live up the street from the dealership, I drive by everyday. As of today, there were 32 TL's on the lot, all brand new. I bet that the dealerships are going to be practically giving them away when the 2002s finally hit.
Yes, they are going to play dumb bcuz they want to empty the lot. Just depends on what you want, a great deal on a 2001, or the '02. You may even be able to deal on the '02

Got mine on january 4th, got something like 3500 off MSRP.. I think you could go down to $4000 off MSRP if you push them. I wrote down the price i wanted on a peace of napkin i was using for my coffee, and told the sales man, if he could get that he had miself a deal.. he said he couldn't.. they came down $500 every time he went and talked to the manager or something, and at last he couldn't get it... i went and stood outside with my dad.. and the manager himself came out, and told us that we had a deal.. (check around,
they will give you the price you want..)
(AAA magazine said offer $2000 below INVOICE! and dealer will still profit..)
