Driver Side Heater Problem

I recently noticed that my driver side seat heater isn't keeping my butt warm anymore. The indicator light turns on but nothing happens. Has anyone else faced this problem before? Is this something I can fix myelf or do I have to take it to the dealership? Any insight on this issue would be great. Thanks - Vu

You all need to read the gen2 thread- seat heat fixed for $3
Its near the top subjects~ recently discussed again.

A wire gets broken and you can fix it- with a few hours labor yourself and a few dollar special tool. Usually its just the butt on the driver side, wallet pressure often being the cause. If nothing on driver side, make sure its getting power to the seat
Note passenger only gets butt heat- side airbag issue

btw- the dealer get $700 for a new heater pad unit and installation
