I remember someone else had a similar problem. He also said that his Auto window down didnt work. The reply was to lower the window down and keep holding the down button for 5 - 10 sec. and the raise the window and do the same.

The person said that his window worked, but he never said anything else about the light....dont know if this will help, but I would try it!!
Good luck

It's just a simple LED. Did you cut and solder the LED on it, or did you de-solder it from the PCB? Check your soldering job to make sure you got good connection. Check the plugs where it connects to within the door panel

Hello all:

Possibility that heat may destroy LED during soldering operation?
Bryan, have you try to apply a 1.5 volt battery to the LED and check them out, watch out for the polarity of the LED. If the LED lite up then you might have problem in the alarm circuit. Next step, use a DMM and measured the voltage drop across the LED when the system is armed. It should have a 0.7 Vdc for an LED.

Hello all:

Bryant, if the alarm unit is messed up then I would take the vehicle to the dealer, and claimed under the warranty.
Did you verified to see if the Factory LED and the Blue LED working?
The LED required approximately 0.7 Vdc drop across it terminals.
Re-install Factory LED, and have dealer change out new alarm unit and goes from there.

BTW, I am planning to added another LED on the steering column by running in series with the factory LED.

HTH
good luck
