Question Door locks making a noise

I have a 2003 Acura-TL. When I lock the car doors with my remote, I hear the doors lock then I hear a faint rolling sound...almost like gears turning for a split second. Is this a normal sound? What could it possibly be?

Thanks
CJ

My TL doesn't make that sound when I use the remote. Since your car is new, just take it back to the dealer. It's definitely under warranty.

I've noticed that since the days of my 88 Legend...it's softer in the TL, but I still hear it a second or two after using the lock switch.

I wouldn't make a big deal out of it ... anyway, how are you hearing this? aren't you supposed to be out of the car when you're locking your doors with the remote? hehe so long as it doesn't get worse and your doors continue to lock ......

To show my search efforts, I am bringing back this post. My driver side door lock is making an occasionaly electrical whining noise for a split second when I lock it (I hear it when I'm inside the car). Does anyone know what this could be? Can I do a quick fix now, or wait till it breaks?

Mine does that too. When you push the lock swith on the door to lock and hold it , it makes a high pitched sound. The same with the window, if you hold it after the window is shut it makes a high pitched sound that doesn't stop till you let go of the button.

mine also - but it is the back driver side door when I lock them all - makes a whining noise also, who knows may just need some lube somewhere.
