Done alot of MODs thanks to this website

After purchasing a 2000 TL a month ago I was able to do some mods thanks to the generous advice given at this site. The resinator install and K&N mods were great. Also the advice about the right H&R springs to get are well appreciated. I was even able to keep my cool after transmission faliure knowing that people had already gone through this. Next I want to get some mud flaps. Does anyone know if I can add them and if anyone is selling them?

Thanks again to my extended TL family

PS. Next mod I'm going to cut my springs to lower the car even more
any advice?
lol

Don't take the cheap way out. if you're going to drop the car buy springs. Cutting the spring will cause a shitty ride and possibly cause the car to bottom out...

mud flaps will scratch the paint on your car.... that's why everybody takes them off.. they also won't fit with the bodykit either so if you really want them I'm sure almost everybody here will have an set sitting in a box somewhere, I do.

and cutting is not reccomended at all, the springs have a tighter coil at each side, it isn't a symetrical coil, you would end up butchering it and they would work properly..IMO

thanks to this site I have done TOO many mods on my car! But one thing I learned is that there is a lot of knowledge on this site and advise left are usually good ones. Don't cut the springs, if your gonna get springs, just go for the Comptechs. You'll get a nice drop without sacrificing the ride too much. Whatever you do, don't cut the springs!

Lacs21: If you REALLY want mudflaps, I can take mine off and give em to you if you wanna take care of shipping. I kinda want to remove them because they have left scuffs and marks on my car, plus they need to be off in order for the bodykit to be on there...and I'd much rather have the bodykit!

For someone considering cutting springs, that tells me that they are on a very tight budget. In that case, the H&R sports springs would be the ones to get since they are 1/2 the price of new Comptechs.

BTW...you can get mudflaps for free...just like poo said, all you have to do is pay for shipping.

LOL! Wait and save your money to buy some decent drop springs. H&R or Ground Control for adjustability and most of all do it right the first time! You don't want to have to spend more money to fix the problem that you created buy not getting the right parts or the right labor from the first time. Sux to have to double pay! *Guilty as Charged...*
