Does a TL-P sit higher that a TL-S?

I've got a 02 TL-P w/ stock CL-S wheels on it.

Whenever I see a TL-S, it looks lower than what my car looks like.
Am I just seeing things or is there a difference in the ride heights??

(BTW, i'm sure that the TL-S' that I see are NOT lowered)

TL-P wheels are 16's, and TL-S and CL-S wheels are 17 inch. Maybe that explains the difference?

the wheel size shouldn't matter, the tl-s wheels just have less tire on top of them.

The TL-S rims are sportier looking and the tires are wider which gives off a lowered stance.

TypeS are running 17 inch rims but they also have low profile tires. So the whole diameter of the wheels are the same between the stock 16s and 17s.

You are wrong. TLS (17x6.5) and TLP (16x6.5) The TLS rims are NOT WIDER.

However, the CLS rims are 17x7, so they are wider. I don't see how that would make your car give off a lowered stance tho.

The TL-S and TL-P have different stock springs and shock absorbers. TL-S spring part # is 52441-S0K-A51, while the TL-P spring part # is 52441-S0k-A02. Which leads me to believe the TLS is lowered then the TLP.

1. I believe the perceived difference is just that, a perceived difference.

2. Stock TLP's have a SLIGHTLY larger diameter of wheel 25.68 inches vs 25.5 but I doubt you'd notice this.

also, check to see if there is a body kit. When you install a body kit, it makes the car look about 1-2 inches lower. Could that be it?

I do know for a fact that the TLS seats sit lower than the TLP. I could't fit into the TLP for lack of head room. No problem with the TLS's headroom, unless I wear a cap.

GoldenDragon, When I was looking at Tl's the sales person noted that I had no headroom and recommended I try the TLS as the seats are firmer . AT first I thought she was just trying to get me into a more expensive car, but she was right. After trying out several TLP's and several TLS' I bought the TLS( my wife agreed I should get the one that had more head room!) I'm 6'2" with a longer than normal torso.

Well according to this website, the TLS is indeed lower then the TLP, It maybe be because of the different spring/shock and it's heavier. Or a combination of those.

2003 CL-S and 2003 TL-S use the SAME stock michelin tire- 215-50-17.
