I find the seats to be good, but everyone does not have the same shape. the seats are a big deal to me and before I got the tl I sat in just about every car out on the market around its class I liked the tl the best. but it may not be shaped right for you.
do you like to have back pain? then get the tl or you might try a type s or a bmw they have nice seats to.

I find the TL-P seats pretty comfortable except that the seat cushion itself is a little short. I make up for it by tilting the front of the seat upward a little, and presto, it's great.

I drove my TL 1350 miles to Denver this spring and jumped out the car refreshed and without soreness at every stop!

I test drove the TL S for about 40 minutes. The seat felt great. The only car I had a problem with was the Lexus IS300. Back was killing me after 10 minutes.

I like them a lot. (I forget.. if it has the lumbar support, make sure that's engaged) I wished they breathed a little more, even though the leather has those perforations -- my back ends up a little wet on hot and humid days.

I've heard of cars with fans in the driver's seat.
Now if only someone can come up with a way to redirect the rear seat A/C vents into the driver's seat. hmmm.............

on the hott days it helps to use a vented seat cushion ...but usally the a/c is cold enough to keep me from gettin hott under the seat

They are good. TLS seats seem better since they have less curve so they support your sides and back and legs with more surface area. Maybe a future mod some day lol.

I drove down to Daytona Beach, FL in my TL-S and didn't have a single back ache (21 hours due to severe rain in Virginia, N. Carolina, S. Carolina & Georgia...not to mention a paranoid driver in the 3rd car who wouldn't exceed 60 in the rain ). To boot my passenger slept just about the whole way down claiming the seats were too comfortable.

longest driven in my TL-P was 200+ miles and the seats were great. I jumped out of the car and didnt have to stretch or anything, Whereas my old Contour had me begging God for help. The seats in that Contour were terrible.

I also have a lower back problem, but after messing with seat ajustments a little, I was able to get it right, and it feels great. Lumbar support is only about 50% engaged, so it does not stick out too much.
