do shocks squeak??

i am hearing pretty noticeable squeaking sounds when i go over bumps at a very slow speed.

could be the konis (most recent add on) or CT sway bars (teflon tape is gone) or HR springs (just cuz its flexing).

what do you think? any fixes?? thanks.

it can also be from the bolts on the seats and the seat belt.

I heard noticeable squeaking, and found out it was coming from the mounting of the seat belt. I sprayed some wd-40 and it's gone..

Just a thought. ^_^

I would bet that it's coming from your CT sway bars...with the new Koni shocks installed, it shouldn't be squeaking. If you check the sways, and the teflon tape is still on OK, then my second guess would be your springs...you'll need spring isolators put in.

Just about any rubber bushing in the suspension can squeak. Some suspension kits even come with grease fittings on the bushing mounts. A co-worker had a stock 94' Camry that did it in the rear just going over curbs backing out of his driveway. I told him what it was but just sold the car and bought an Avalon.

I got a squeek too going over bumps. I can hear it if my window is open. Seems like its coming from the drivers side somewhere in the suspension. ANyone else have this problem?

See if you can rock the car from front to rear (yes while it's parked) and then from side to side. This should at least tell you if it's coming from the sway bar bushings.

a lil off topic, but i got this damn popping sound after installing my lowering springs. I dont know what it could be. we've opened up the suspension twice. its coming from teh passenger side. you think it could be the shocks or some type of knockin?

Take a good look at the ball joints. Jack up the front of the car and put it on jackstands. While wheel is off the ground, grap the tire with someone underneath and try to move the tire in and out (top in and bottom out, then vice versa) and do the same to the left and right (front and rear of the car) and see if there is any play in the suspension parts, ball joints, tie rods etc.

If this were an older car I would say look at the shims on the upper A-arm.
