DIY Spoiler Install

I purchased this spoiler on the bay for $160.00 PAINTED and SHIPPED. The sellers name was thespoilerstore if you want to get one. I was skeptical at first but when it arrived i was MORE than happy. The paint was an EXACT match and the quality was superb. It was kind of scary to drill through the trunk but it was a piece of cake. Total time took 1hr for everything. Its basically self explanitory and the spoiler came with instructions so i'll just post some pics. Enjoy. I also debadged the ACURA and TL-S badges. I think it looks MUCH better.

Good job on the install. Something looks different about that spoiler though, is it an OEM spoiler? Or is it one of those OEM-style spoilers?

when my brother bought my TL for me, he paid a body shop 1000 to paint and install the spoiler. they sucked, the paint on the spoiler sucked, the spoiler sides rubbed on the top of my car and scraped the paint there. god, im sold on DIY

I was just looking at that spoiler over the weekend. So it matches exactly with your car paint, WDP? I'm looking for the spoiler as well, but it does look a little bit different. This is more of an oem-replica?

Yep, but it seems like it would be a little tough matching them from the outside.

That's the exact same one I got for my car. Same ebay store. Mine is SSM and it matched perfectly. It's a good quality paint job. I've had mine for about 6 months now and it's still looking great! It's a replica so it's not exactly like the OE one but it's pretty close. You don't notice it unless you look closely. Congrats! You should use some of that wire tube stuff (can't think of the name right now ) and some zip ties to make the install really clean.

Yeah..i lined it up from the bottom and it didnt look right where it should have been. So i just had my roomate hold it in place till it was in a place where I thought it looked good then the drill came out. Im happy the way it turned out. The paint matches perfect....i highly reccommend that guy.

Nice, for a quick second looks like your trunk and side body is totally a different color, meaning different shades of white. But I guess it was the flash that did the trick..

FYI, anyone that is going to do this. I just bought an OEM spoiler on Ebay for 69.99 Shipped. Not a fake or replica. To make it better, I got it already the color of my car, Laguna Green.

Heres the link

Do you guys remember that PDF file that shows how to install the lip kit? I need one of those in that format but for the OEM spoiler. My spoiler came in but had no instructions but had everything else inside. If it's not available I guess ill go to the Acura dealership.
