Disc Changer Malfunction
What CD-Rs work best in the 2003 Acura TL model? I have used Maxwell, Memorex, and Verbatims and they all get stuck and display an error message, but when I used store bought music albums they work perfectly fine. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

I have a '02 TL and have had no problems at all with playing copied cds. Although I did have a problem with my radio when it was going to change disk's it would display "ERROR" on the screen. This occured with both regular and copied cd's. I took it to the dealership, they replaced the radio for me. Since then I havent had one problem with it.
So, it may not be that your radio cannot play copied cd's, there might be something actually wrong with the radio.

I never really had a problem with reg cds or cdrs (any brand) it is just when i yank at them or push them in too fast. but that is it.... are there stickers on there that kinda peel off making it stuck.

Yup, they only get stuck when labels are put on...found that out the day I bought it home
I've used cheap no name silver/silver cdrs and they've worked find. However, I do find that the cd starts skipping in like the latter tracks if I burn it at anything greater than 40x...sorta sux.

Guys, try Fujifilm...I know that they are the most renowned brand name, but every time I've burned a cd, they've been fine. And, I've burned them at like 8x and 12x and they work fine. What I did notice was that all FujiFilm cdr's have a green bottom while most other cdr's have a clear bottom. Maybe that has something to do with it...but maybe not

I have a 2000 TL with a 2003 TL 6 disc changer HU. CDs will only get stuck if you have a label on them. What I have noticed is that the CDRs are a little thicker than the retail CDs. Plus with a label on it, it will only make it more difficult for the CD to go in and out of the unit and to work with the 6 disc changer in the HU.

Never had a problem with a CD-R. One thing you could try is to burn CD-R's no faster than 12x. I know before some burners burning at really high speeds would make the CD-R unreadable in certain CD players.

Good News about CD-RW
I could never play CD-RW discs in my 2001 TL but I discoverd today, by accident, that my 2004TL plays CD-RWs just fine! Try it! They must have updated the laser for the new model.

My changer jammed on a factory CD and they had to replace the whole unit! Still, I have had no problems with my CD-Rs and I use many different brands, from Memorex to total no-name brands.
