difference between TL-S or not S?
difference between TL-S or not S?
what's the difference between the two because I'm interested in buying a 2003 (can't afford newer and I love the look)
Also, the 2003 looks bigger than the new ones that are out

In short from Edmunds.com
There are two trim levels to pick from: the base TL and the high-performance TL Type-S. Both TLs offer near-luxury equipment without a hefty price, and you get more than just air conditioning and a smattering of leather on the seats. You snag lots of standard equipment, including a power sunroof, a 180-watt sound system with an in-dash six-disc CD changer, heated front seats, two-position memory system for driver seat and mirrors, steering-wheel audio controls, rear heat-air vents, a micron air-filtration system and high-intensity discharge lights. A supersimple DVD-based navigation system with a smudge-free touchscreen is the only option, and this year it also comes with OnStar, the vehicle communications service. In addition to these items, the TL Type-S comes with a more powerful engine, a sport-tuned suspension, 17-inch wheels and minor cabin trim upgrades.
TL Type-S provides 260 horsepower as opposed to the TL's 225 horsepower, with the extra power coming from a higher compression ratio, a two-stage induction system, a larger throttle body (with no decrease in gas mileage), free-flowing exhaust, high-performance intake valves and camshafts, and modified variable valve (VTEC) timing. Type S also comes with an increased steering ratio and a firmer suspension, thanks to stiffer shocks, a slightly larger rear stabilizer bar, and 17-inch alloy wheels with Michelin P215/50R17 high-performance tires.
Notably, the Type-S comes standard with Acura's Vehicle Stability Assist, an electronic stability program that uses anti-lock braking and traction control to keep the car from sliding. Yaw, lateral g, speed and steering sensors all provide input, and the throttle and brakes are automatically reduced or applied as needed.

go for the S anyday. i wouldn't think the price is that much different. the stuff you get with S you'll definitely not regret. eg. 17inch wheels, VSA control, sport suspension, extra 35 HP (doesn't seem much but you'll definitely feel it)....
regarding the "smudge-free" touchscreen..., umm..., not sure about that. and that's for both S and non-S.

the type-s is definitly worth paying a few extra for. all the upgrades over the regular TL, is definitly worth getting. youll love the sportiness added to the bear-luxury feel. i regret not getting the type-S
