Dashboard kicking and SRS Light
Hi all,
I recently has lots lof dashboard rattle on both driver & passanger side. I have heard the purge solenoid valve is the cause of it but not in my case. My rattle noise is a different frequency then the PSV clicking sound. It happends everyday at startup, at light, stop sign....when ever the car is at idle, no matter it's cold or warm.
I can hear about the same rattle sound about 1 foot away from the driver side fender. When I move closer to the engine bay, the rattle sound is gone except the PSV noise.
Today, I tried to take apart the instrument panel and gauge to wrap some soft form everywhere I can. But even w/o all these panels and gauge, I can still hear this loud & fast kicking noise.
Anyways, after I put everything back, my SRS light is on forever. I am sure I connect all 3 connectors on the gauge and all 5 connectors on the right side panel and 2 on the left. I even disconnect the battery but the SRS still dont want to go away. Anyone know the solution?
I gave up on fixing the dashboard rattle. I was about to do some upgrades like new rotors...now forget it...I dont want to waste $$ on this car anymore...
Please help me for the SRS light problem. Thanks a lot.

yea its under warranty, I got that letter too but I got mines replaced last year..it'll take em a day or something since they have to tear apart your dash, so most likely u'll get a loaner bring it in and ask em if its under extended warranty for that.
Humm, that letter...I shreaded it because I think it has nothing to do w/ me....
Looks like I need to take it to the dealer.
BTW, importvizion, does your SRS light came on when you repair it or the "side airbag" light's on???
thanks
