damn thing is quick

After being gentle for the first 600miles to break in the engine, i was merging onto the freeway going UPHILL and punched the engine in auto mode.

There was V6 accord couple in the next lane about 5 car lengths ahead going at least 65mph when i was merging uphill.

In about 3 seconds i was going 85 and blew past the accord.

This is one sweet engine.

I love the throttle noise when you do that too :-)

I haven't had this much fun passing cars on winding roads since my 75 Camaro!

Just wait until you slap on the CAI, headers & exhaust...nothing sounds better than the VTEC with some added rumble.

When I want to take off I put it in sportshift, downshift to 3rd and the thing propels forwards like the dogs of hell have been unleashed....

to put it in Audi terminology....it seems gasoline can be an aphrodisiac after all

3rd?? Heck, I drop to 2nd and keep it there to ~70. Sometimes I don't use SS, I shift thru all 5 (I love how you can keep it in 1st for those sharp corners in the city, then shoot off like an F-14). I think I even heard a sonic boom, once. Sly, are you sure that CAI isn't too loud at WOT? Some have said it is. Very tempting, though. Does it help the sound of the VTEC, or make it sound off key? D*mn thing sounds like ... some orchestra, or something. And I am the conductor!

i was having the same debate with myself based on people saying that the CAI was loud. but since i had the short ram in my TL and loved the growl at VTEC with the intake, i decided to try it, so i ordered it yesterday from Tim. We'll see how it goes.
