My guess is >75% bail once they find out how the cams + installation is.

i got type-S cams about a year ago that i ended up returning because no mechanic wanted less than $800 for the installation and tunning. (i have a vafc)
so, $2000 for 20hp

If the gain is worth the cash for parts and labor I would think it would be less than 75% bail.

I agree with NSXNEXT. While im sure there will be some gains, my question is what do people reasonably expect to get for gains? 5hp? 10?15?20? What are they willing to pay for say 11hp plus install?(just throwing a # out there, it may be less, and doubtfull but possible that its more)

To me the only people that will come through on this are the people that are thinking about boosting, or doing the 3.5 upgrade. I agree with fsttyms1 that the gains should be around 10 -15whp on a stock engine or with bolt ons, now this may seem minimal for the end cost of being close to a $1000 w/install, but if you are supercharged or 3.5, it could yield much more which would completely justify it for me. Me personally I am interested because I am contemplating taking the plunge into the 3.5 territory.............eventually.

yea...remember ur not only forking up $$ for the cams...but also for labor...N ull also need a vtec controller to make the most outta the entire mod...n i know that unit costs around $350...n also the labor for hardwiring the unit...N also getting the car tuned...

as u can see there r alot of other factors that play into this mod...

i dont think you should imply the need for a vtec controller or a tune.

#1 - to my knowledge vtec engagement is very similiar on the RL/TL/CL
#2 - the exhaust/vtec points aren't affected by the cams being produced at the moment
#3 - the ecu should be more than able to adapt to the changes
#4 - we mainly modifying the primary and secondary intake lobes

I'm still interested in the potential gains for this mod, I'll be going the supercharger route by mid-end of summer. And then.. the car.. will finally be complete.
