Crystal-Clear Windows?

What do you guys use to clean your windows and winshield? Is it safe to use on tinting? I cannot get rid of the hazy film on the inside of the windshield. Also...DO NOT use Armor All Glass Wipes, they streak like mad. Thanks a bunch for your help!

I use ClearVue by Turtlewax.. great esp with tinted windows. DON'T use glassPlus or any armmonia base product on your inside, your tint will turn purple.

I just use water on one of my Viper microfiber towels and then dry the glass off with another dry microfiber towel. Works great for me and I don't need any chemicals.

I've been using Sprayway glass cleaner with window towels....not microfiber...I need to get some more microfiber towels to try on my windows....but the Sprayway leaves the windows streak free with a nice polish so the water beads up and runs off like there's rain-x on the windows

I'm pretty sure that most windex has Ammonia-d in it so you can't use it on any of your tinted surfaces (rear and side windows) b/c of the aformentioned problems w/ hazing and also it loosens the tinting. I dont' see why you couldn't use it on the outside surfaces, but I'm just guessing on that part.

P.S. Where in H-Town are you? I go down there periodically but have not really seen any TL's.

I use Eagle One glass cleaner and I think it works well. I don't have tinted windows, but it says it is safe on tint.

I use both Invisible glass by Stoner, and 3M brand glass cleaner...both excellent.

Use Invisible glass by Stoner. It gives you the best result. Avoid using Windex on tinted windows.

I just use the microfiber towel and plain water.....it's incredible what microfiber can do. BTW, just use very little water on your towel for best results....

Windex should be ok if you have the tint that came with the car right?

It is not recommended to use ammonia based products on tint, but it is not a big deal. Our detail shop uses it, and it will only cause the tint to change color over a LONG period of time. To be safe, just use water and towel on the side and rear windows.

For the outside, I have been using a glass cleaner he gets from the dealership's detail shop.. with some dry newspapper works great.

Don't let the newspapper start breaking down or get too wet, that is when it will streak or cause dust.. but if you use it right, it buffs the windows great.. On the inside, I have had mixed results.. probably cuz I can't get good leverage to clean it properly.. the sides are fine, but the windshield and rear are harder..
