The crap is wrong with my car?!
What my TL just started doing is scaring me to shit right now. I don't get any throttle response until my foot is planted/I'll suddenly lose all throttle response while traveling at highway speeds. It's terrifying, not to mention i now have a bad neck due to the car suddenly lurching forward when getting throttle response only at full throttle, and when the car loses and regains throttle response at speed.
The only temporary fix seems to be switching TCS off, and knocking the gear selector over to manual mode. Oh, and the car won't do it around the guys at the dealership, and i'm not as mechanically educated as i'd like to be, so i cant figure this out myself. Plz help before my car kills me.

pls verify you are driving a 99-2003 TL? how many miles, do you ever change the trans fluid, other recent maintenance done or needed- egr system cleaned?
gen2 is mechanical throttle cable, gen3 went flyby wire
There is a problem with a cable stay at the throttle breaking off its edge and jamming cable = Remove engine cover- just a few bolts - with a socket set to see if that's it
does it feel transmission related- is there slipping on acceleration like a manual trans with bad clutch?

like I know or care to waste brain cells knowing gen3 stuff, my 01 is all I really care about- any info offered beyond that is mere speculation
OP has another thread where he wants to increase engine size and go all fsttyms power crazy with it
I wonder if driving style has anything to do with his throttle/trans problem??
Parts stores will read codes for free, get back to us with those and we can offer better advice on where to look further
odd with the tcs light- that system operates below 16mph to apply brake in an abs like manner to slow a spinning wheel-
by comparing wheel speeds
so you could have a bad speed sensor- pretty common failure
Its actual use intent was to assist a start on an icy uphill road

Even if you go full throttle with TCS engaged it wont let the engine rev up.
The only things I can think of is a faulty oxygen sensor or more commonly a transmission issue, but honestly take it to a shop that specializes on hondas.
