Courtest Lights Under Door Handles
so ya.. i was lookin at the side marker mod in the DYI section and it amazed me.. he did an excellent write up for the 745 sider marker.. then i thought.. y not put it on the doors? .. well ya risk of it rusting and all.. but if ur willin to take it.. put a sexy sidemarker on the DOORs.. then i thought.................. wait.. y not put some lights right underneath the door handles.. so when u unlock the car, they will light up just like ur cabin light...
practical applications? very few.. maybe when ur really drunk and can't find ur door handles.. u will help (shouldn't be driving in the first place but ya) lol...
other then that.. mostly for the COOL and "i can do it" factor.
wat u guys think.. obviously some nice kickass leds i'm thinking.. even 3 leds would be more then ehough to light that small lil area up under the door handle and leds would just sneak right in..
let me know wat u guys think...

I know there was one who put them under the handles. I dont remember who it was. Ive been meaning to do this for about 2 years now, just never have. I was also going to mount abunch under the door to light up the ground when the door was open

lol....
i can't wait to do this mod, bluetop should power the lights nicely.. i just need to find a decent set of leds that will have a very nice shade.. OR i was thinking one of those multi colour ones where u can change it to whatever colour u like (like the multi colour side markers) .. this way... depending on ur mood or location, u can set it to a colour of ur choice @ night

i'm hooking up mine to the cabin light... so if they is on.. the door handles will stay on... and when it fades away, so will the door handles.. which is perfect.

oh ehehe.. no no that won't be the case since i'm connecting to the FUSE that turns on the dome light WHEN it detects that the locks or door is open.... so it won't be reversed... pretty much like U MANUALLY TURNING ON THE DOME LIGHT won't unlock ur car ... or set off the "door open" light...

Try these:
http://www.oznium.com/led-flex-strips
They're pre-wired in waterproof casings. However, 4.7" will be too long so you'll have to cut them down and reseal the ends. The good part is they're wired in parallel so you can cut the end LEDs off in sets of 3, and the rest will still work.

I would prefer Single leds and not in strips
