couple ?'s about my car, need some input

so my "A" logo on steering wheel has a nick on it and i was told by icbc (because its part of a claim) that you can't replace just that symbol instead you have to replace the whole core, airbag and everything, this true? anyways around that?

second thing i got my car back from the bodyshop and i noticed right away that after i take my foot off the gas and its coasting that there is rubbing noise coming from the rear tire, i never ever heard this noise prior to the car going into the shop, i suspect that maybe they were moving the car around with the e-brake on??? anyone have any suggestions?

Right, you can't just take off the emblem and replace with a new one.

But I think the airbag assembly and the steering wheel cover are separate units. Then again, I've never pulled them off before, so I'm not 100% sure.

ya i think it's not worth it for me, the symbol has only a tiny nick and they are saying it's approx 600 for a new core/air bag or w/e it is and i'd have to pay 50% depreciation, think ill just try and live with it, anyone got any idea as far as the rear rubbing sound goes, the guy at the shop says it mite be the brake pad or something, but prior to it being in the shop it never ever made any noises, will the dealer charge me if i just take it in and ask them to take a look, and would have the ebrake on while driving cause such a noise also?

unless they tampered with your brakes for whatever reason, I couldn't explain any of the noise you are experiencing from the rear tire. Maybe the tire is out of balance, and you are hearing an abnormal noise? Get a tire place to check it out, and confirm that the tire is in OK condition.

it sounds more like brake related sound, like a metal type of rubbing.
