A couple quick questions

How low will my fuel gauge go before I actually run out of gas? I hate not knowing how many miles to 0 and I hate not knowing how many mpg I get? Am I missing something really obvious because there is actually a mpg reading? Or am I being a jack ass?

I've been pushing the edge just for the hell of it and seeing how long I can go without gas...

I've pushed my TL.

I've found that my car (note: your's may vary) can go 55-60 miles after the gas light appears.

There is no mileage meter inside the car, however.

When my Low fuel light comes on i have just over 3 gallons left in the tank, and can typically get 60 or so safe miles out of it also

whoa! so you guys consider 20mpg "safe"? I was riding on fumes once because of lack of time really, when I finally refilled, the pump read 16.731 gallons... I would say that based on a 17 gallon tank, that is cutting it close.

I've never gotten 20mpg in my car. The lowest I've ever gotten is 21mpg, but that was once or twice. The rest of the time my TL-P gets 22-23mpg city and 33-34mpg highway.

Addressing gas mileage I wonder if it's just me having a heavy foot or the fact that my fuel gauge is very accurate along with the gas tank not being that big...

Either way it goes I'm wayyyyy too lazy to figure out my mpg

I have exactly 13.7 gallons from topped off to when the "Oh ****" light comes on. As said before, the actual capacity of the tank is 17 gallons. Figure out what type of mileage you're getting and go from there.

I usually fill up on 15.5 gallons after the low fuel lamp is on for about 40 miles or so. I usually try not to go more than about 40-50 miles with the light on because here in Metro Atlanta traffic is bound to jam without notice.

yeah, it's really not that hard. Reset your trip meter when you fill up. Then when you go back divide the miles you drove by the gallons you pumped. Very simple process.

I don't think it requires any kind of algebra to figure out MPG.
