Costco Gas?
What do you think about Costco Gas? My dealer said that might be the problem I am having with my car currently. They recommend not using it. All my other cars have never had a problem with it. Including a 97 BMW 528i. Has anyone else had problems with Costco Gas?

Thats what I thought too. Costco gets tankers twice a week. Their gas doesn't sit very long. Dealer couldn't figure out what my issue is but the problem has seem to have gone away. I guess they should blame it on gremlins in the car. Going to pick up the car this afternoon. Hope everything is fine.

Discount gas can be fine. The risk is that at seasonal changeover time, a lot of fuel optimized for one season finds its way into the discount distribution chain - and that can cause driveability problems due to changes in volatility. As April becomes May-June, or summer becomes Fall, I recommend buying from a premium dealer like Tex, Chev, or BP Amoco. Always buy gas from a newer station that does good volume - helps ensure fuel is fresh.
Also, the gas companies have been cutting back on the detergents in gas for years - they are no longer adequate to keep FI's clean. I recommend running a can of Red Line SI, Techron, or Pennzoil Regane every oil change to keep the injectors, intake valves, and piston crowns clean. Careful with 44K - it is too powerful for routine use.

I have a card that my friend gave me, its a business member card, and its got the business name, and some1's name on it. I always use it in the store, but i pay cash..
DOn't know if i should try it at the pump... anyone tried it ??

You put the Costco card in, and then you put in a separate credit or debit card to pay for the gas. Unless the membership card is one of those AMEX/member combo cards, then it is charged.
So, there is no reason that someone else's card shouldn't work. Or, you could just buy a membership, tightwad!
I've been using Costco gas for years, in all three of my vehicles (87 in the Honda, 93 in the TL-S, and 90 (50/50 87 & 93 mix) in the Z28). No issues, ever.

nym31mp--couldn't resist, don't take it personal or anything like that.
And FWIW--I use Costco gas in my vehicles too...when I happen to be in the vicinity of one--the nearest Costco is at least a half-hour drive from where I live

I know a guy here that tests gas for the local race club's, there are differences. He distilled a quart of water out a gallon of Arco gas... of course the same tanker went across the street and filled up the BP tanks...

$1.44/gal is about 10-15c cheaper than here in Orlando.
