cost to install springs?

I was gonna get competch spring installed and called a couple of local acura dealears. One quoted me $340 for 4hrs of labor and the 2nd quoted me $328 for 4hrs of labor. That is obviously not including the $300 for the actual springs.

Is that too much? Should I just install my self? I would install myself but if it takes "experts" 4hrs to install i'd figure it will take me 8-12 hrs.

If i were to do it myself, would it be okay if I installed the front set one weekend the the rear set another weekend?

Need to get this todo list out of the way!

Go to a local import shop and they should be able to do it for $150 at most for installing springs. Good luck and happy modding!

If you have a hydraulic jack, a breaker bar, tool set and a can of PB Blaster, you can do it yourself. It's quite simple, really.

Up here, even independent shops are charging over 200 bucks. But it's Michigan. Even tints run for 300+ bucks easy.

Down in Texas, I would imagine you could find someone to do it for 150-200. Anything approaching 300 is waaaay too much.

Good luck.

$100-150 sounds reasonable.

any hidden "snafu's" in getting an import shop to do it as far as the factory warranty is concerned??

my dealer has quoted me about $350 for CT spring install and i'd rather pay them the money if getting it done somewhere else is going to cause problems down the line...

yeah i got quoted 60/hr and this mod shop said itd take 4-6hrs. but im gonna hold off on that. try some shops like Midas or Meineke or someplaces like that, they might do it cheaper. there arent that many non-shady import shops in my area.
