I am researching a local shop that is making a NEW TL-S Hyped with the following:

1. Comptech headers - 4 hour install ?
2. Comptech CAI , intake
3. Comptech stainless Exhaust-muffler
4. Comptech springs

What a NICE Upgrade !!!! :flamer:

I think I need that too ?

Any thoughts of the price range, installed ????

What kind of gains? 35HP I was told

Comptech's dyno would show a peak hp gain of around 45hp with those mods (if you believe 'em)...
You'd be safe with all the mods together--with install--to be less than $3,000 unless your "shop" is your dealer, where the parts mark-up is going to be higher, and the labor is more expensive and drawn out 'by the book'...

You won't be disappointed in those mods nor the performance gains associated with them. Good luck!

i will scope out the cost-speed factor, 3G's is a little too much for that.... 2 g OK

The comptech headers alone are over a thousand... then exaust, about 600, springs 350, intake i dunno, like 200 maby. then labor, your at $2150 in parts, figure about 8ish hours for labor for everything installed, your at near 3G's....

Exaust, springs. Exaust adds only 5ish HP. Springs of course, add none.

I would say get the springs as they will dynamically increase your handling and cornering and will eliminate a lot of the squat and dive in acceleration and decceleration which can affect your "go"...The exhaust, while it saves weight, is optimistically only giving you 2 or 3 horsepower...
Honestly, I don't have an exhaust and won't get one unless some sort of super-lightweight titanium (quiet) exhaust becomes available...

I am worried the springgs will make a harsh ride ...

After all, this is a luxury sports car, not a gutted track car

I was quoted $900 (w/ loaner) from my dealer for the install of:
1. Stone Headers
2. Comptech Sways
3. Comptech Springs
4. Comptech Icebox

---

I am buying the parts separetly off of the Internet (all comptech parts from Dean on acura-cl.com, check the sticky on their black market forum) and I'm buying the stone headers from Nashua_Night_Hawk's groupbuy on the same site.

All together, I'm paying about $2100 for everything installed.
If you go with another brand of headers, you'll save a lot. The stone headers groupbuy is $400 shipped.
