Cost for Brake Job

How much does it cost to change 4 rotors + Front and Rear Break Pads including tax parts and labour assuming I need pads, rotors, brake repair kit and calipper check?

Local midas in Toronto estimated me at $700!

Any suggestions?

I've always heard that once you change your rotors you would want to change your pads too!

my buddy just got his front (new)rotors+labour for $120 and his pads for $70

i wouldn't spend more than $500 all around. give me a shout if you want to try my mech. out, he's in mississauga(dixie+401)

Ripoff. You might as well go to the Acura dealer and have them do it for that price.

I'll do it for $600!

Should cost you about $500-$525 CDN - cheaper if you buy your own parts (aftermarket) - cheaper further if you DIY

I got my fronts done for free last time! (new pads and resurface the rotors)

It was a professional courtesy - I did one of his personal vehicle trannys for him for free because he sends me a lot of work.

Well over 10k miles and no sign of warping. They used Wagner pads - I highly recommend them!

Come to the Michigan meet in June with the Toronto crew, and I'll do it for free... well, besides parts.

Changing your brake pads and rotors is not that difficult. Like someone mentioned, there are very nice DIY (look for Austin519's DIY on the other site). I was able to do it and I am not that mechanically inclined.

YES...do it your self. It's so easy. This is one job that dealers and mechanics make lots of money from!
