Yeah, that's complete Bull Shit! Hell, I could've done a MUCH better job myself and I am by no means certified at any level. I've done many installs for friends but that's about it. Man, when I see install like that and for that price, it makes me wanna kick their asses, literally. If only I wouldn't have to endure the reperccusions. Oh well, best of luck in dealing with this headache.

Dude, you should go and try to get atleast a partial refund. That install is not worth all that money. Feel for you man.

u took ur car to get it professionally done and they damaged something in your car. u are entitled to a refund unless u signed something waiving any damages created by the installers or them saying that they're not responsible for it. if thats not posted anywhere then thats a lawsuit if they don't want to either repair, replace or refund something!

This is why I'm a DIY guy. I don't even like the damn tech guy at the dealer and would perfer to do my own oil change. Hell no I won't let any dumbass at a shop touch my baby.

That crappy install cost $600........talk with a lawyer and also call the BBB.

Ya you got screwed, the dash "kit" looks like crap - that took 14 minutes not 14 hours...and I know the speakers are good quality, but they dont look right in your doors - stand out way too much...basically you should go raise hell

I say take the bastards to court, they screwed up your door panels, and they are NOT cheap to replace. Not to mention the total ass job they did on the rest. I say demand all of the install $ back, if they refuse, just simply take the bastards to small claims.

That's really crappy work. Both the car and the gear deserve better. It's small claims court and Better Business Bureau for you.

wow, Im freaken mad and its not even my car. I would slap them silly. You could of done a better job yourself.

Demand from them to redo it, and do it right, or ask for a full refund, but make sure to involve some anger when you are talking to them.

those a$$holes.

fuckin eh.... they fucked up my man's car.... that car is a fuckin $30k automobile and those installers treated it like it was some POS $10k riced civic....

$600 for that fucked up install???? the spacing is off on the radio unit, the tweeters are all fucked up, and they installed the sub all wrong.... I would complain and try to get not only a refund back, but also make them pay for another install..... they did not even remove the entire center console to install the unit, so you know they just pried and bent hoping pieces of the console would give... that is probably where all the spacing problems came from.... the scratch next to the gear shift, that is totally unacceptable... I would ask them to pay to have that shit replaced.... man, I am fuckin pissed and this car ain't even my damn ride....

better yet, tell us who did the install and bash those S.O.B's and write a letter include the pics to the store management... damn i smell a small lawsuit in this one... small claims court my friend... good luck....

many people are not afraid of the BBB, but you need to get a lawyer and threaten a lawsuit if they do not fix the situation. this is absolute bullshit. keep going up their chain of bosses (if they have any that is). make some noise. don't take this sitting down.

Alright guys! I am going back to the store Monday morning. I am totally not sure how to approach this one. Should I be cool, calm and collected? Or get F'n pissed? I am a big guy, 6'3", and could surely beat anyone in this store to hell, do I use that to my advantage, or is anger likely to weaken my case? I have been unpleased with work done before, but most people are willing to fix their mistakes...these guys are not! If anyone has any ideas lemme know. Also, have any of you other SoCal TLers had any installs by any Al and Ed's Store???? If so please let me know when and where and if you are pleased with the outcome. Thanks!

going in screaming off the bat will probably just make them give you the finger. go in there calm, but noticeably pissed, and FIRM. state the case to the manager, whoever, and let them plain know this is not the way a respectable shop should be acting and that this install is not on par with the price by any means. if they tell you that it's your problem then simply tell them it could be *their* problem in court. if they continue to be assholes then as much as pounding them would be very sweet, you're better off walking out and serving them with court papers within the next two days. once they see the papers they will be more apt to settle. good luck.
