converting to 04+ LSD tranny question

Question for people that have done a 6sp swap on 2nd gen Tl type s, if we use a 04+ TL. tranny which engine harness do we use? will it be the 03 acura cl type s manual or the 04 TL engine harness? what kind of sensors do i need to add in order for the car to run correctly and also will the acura CL type s ECU. work or will need to run the 04 TL ecu with immobilizer? What kind of transmission mount, Do i need to replace the subframe, axles to the 04 TL on the transmission side.

Just curious, are you using the 2G J32A2 engine or the 3G DBW 04 TL J32A3?

You are aware, for example, that the 2G J32a2 throttle body is cable actuated versus the 3G 04 TL, which is computer 'drvie by wire'?
As a result, in that regard, the 3G 04 TL J32A3 engine harness will not have the 'plug and play' 2G J32A2 TB connectors because it is from a later year TL model.

Usually, when 2G TL folks do a six peed swap they source a donor 2G 03 CL-S6, if possible, because it has all the generational components for the swap, making the process easier for the individual.

I'm thinking there is a compatibility 'work around' involving the AEM 30-6051 standalone ECU using 3GTL6 tranny & 2G automatic components; however, I would hope someone with more knowledge like 619rcr or Karanx7 would chime in to specify.

Also, one just can't go out and purchase a lot of the swap components anymore because most have been discontinued for the CL-S6.
In addition, If you were lucky to inexpensively source the CLS-6 ECU / 6MT and engine harness, you'd still have to convert your automatic 2G TL J32A2 to make it six speed compatible as you mention above. A lot of those essential components are simply discontinued now, that's why a donor car lessens the headache of putting it all together.

I used a full donor CLS6 for my Frankenstein build, so take this with a grain of salt. While the 04-06 TL and 03-07 Accord manual trans bell housing may fit 2G motors, they lack the transmission mounted crank sensor; which is key to running the CLS manual ecu as intended. Not that you have to run a factory ecu (as Zeta eluded to).

That said, before you even get into a major swap you have to ask yourself several questions: How much time, money are you willing to invest? Do you have the knowledge and equipment to do the work or will you have to pay someone else? Lastly, (the ever important) how functional do you expect it to be? i.e. no drivability issues, factory rev limit, operational vtec, no check engine light, emissions compliant?

As you can likely imagine, options will be opened or limited according to responses.
