Thumbs up Comptech Sway Bars and Springs

I just had my Comptech sway bars and springs put in by Auto Innovations in Milpitas, CA (ask for Orlando).
The car looks great. I felt that the car sat too high, but with the springs it makes it look more streamlined.
With the sways, I don't even feel the body rolls any longer. It's raining today, so I'll have to wait to corner harder.
The 4 Comptech springs are each specific to the location front and rear, left and right. Orlando mentioned something about the different tension on each spring.

I forgot to mention that I don't have the body kit. With the springs lowering the car, I will not be buying them. Otherwise, I (I mean my wife) would be scraping them all the time.

Ahh, but the body kit kicks ass! Especially with springs! Even if you(r wife ) scrapes it, it'll still look great! The front chin spoiler is like $200 to replace if it ever gets really banged up. Worth it IMO!

Glad you like the springs and sways. They do make cornering MUCH better! Be sure to get an alignment done (if you haven't already) in a week or so.

Wait till you get wider and/or bigger tires! The steering with my 19s and low pros is MUCH tighter than stock. I'd say the improvement from stock wheels with springs and sways to 19s with springs and sways is greater than the improvement from stock to springs and sways. If you can follow that.

How much was the install? Did you buy the parts somewhere else and bring it to him to do the install?
Hey are you planning to make it to the Meet in June? Look in the meets forum for the info. Don't know what exact date yet. Maybe June 10, or 16.

Anyone else who has CT springs/sways. What about shocks? Do we need those too?

Nate: Do you know if I should get a thrust alignment or a 4 wheel?

Edub: I'll check out the meets forum and see what dates they scheduled them for.

Edub: The parts and install was $850 out the door. It took them about 3 1/2 hours.

yes you should have an alignment done after getting springs installed so the tires dont wear out unevenly. it usually costs anywhere from $50 to $80

Go for it!! Body kits look nice especially on lowered cars!

I have Comptech springs/ stock body kit. I do know what you mean. You really have to watch out how you park and how you take the bumps and dips. When parking, don't pull up too much to the front, otherwise you'll bust your kit.

Last nite, I took this steep ramp out from a restaurant parking lot at an angle very very sloooowly but still, I scraped the front lip. No visible damage from outside unless you look the bottom of it. So it's all good. Just don't let your wife drive it.
