Comptech Supercharger

Comptech is saying they will have it out in Feb/Mar but they are getting 60-70 HP at the wheels on a Accord V-6. How much more do you guys think we will get?? Will it be worth their $4500 price tag?? AHHHHHH IIII DDOOONNN'TTTTTT.........

I wouldn't buy it if it added 100 horsies.

Just doesn't make sense to me to add so much more power to a front drive car with a history of tranny trouble. Of course, i'd be more willing to do it if it didn't involve 45 hundred beans.

I think it is funny how Comptech says it isn't needed to have a catback exhaust for a car with two mufflers but as soon as the RSX comes out they have a catback setup right away for them. So much for the no need for a catback, no extra HP story????

$4500? hmmm coupled with my TL trade-in and i think i could build up a very nice 350Z with minimal monthly payments...

front wheel drive sedan with a flexible chassis...supercharged forced induction? me thinks not....but that's my opinion.

that $4500 could be used to get genuine nissan turbo setup for the 350Z once they get the GT-R ready since its assumed the GT-R will have the same motor in twin turbo trim spitt'n out 400hp...

I think Comptech has the system for the RSX cuz people will buy it for the looks and sound, adding free flowing capability for horsepower may not be needed afterall although I'd like to think differently. If we had a SINGLE exhaust I'd guess things would be different big time.

If comptech says the supercharge get 60-70-hp for Accordv6,so we may get 70-80hp,it is even more for TL-S somewhere around 80-100hp???am i right??

I'd do it...with a tranny upgrade we should be in good shape. So long as you set the car up right you may even be able to play with the boost a bit uping the HP.

No...just because the engine you start out with develops more power does not mean you will gain more power out of the same blower with the same boost. Altho the J32A2 has a way better intake manifold than the J30A1, don't expect a 30HP jump.....that's just dumb logic

By the way CompTech has scheduled an openhouse for anyone interested..there was a thread about it on AccordV6.com
